Mamatoto was born after the birth of our first child. He only wanted to sleep, eat and spend all of his waking hours attached to me. I was forever wearing him! My husband and I equally enjoyed wearing our baby daily, and truly believe this helped us develop such a close bond with our child early on. Having a newborn is a huge lifestyle adjustment, so being able to get out and about, go for walks and do errands easily while being hands free, was crucial for us to feel normal and to retain some semblance of the pre baby lifestyle we loved.

After searching for and trying many different carriers, most of which I found too bulky and uncomfortable, I decided to create my own. Two years of researching, designing, sampling, and testing later, I’m proud to now share Mamatoto carriers with the world.

We believe baby wearing is one of the best decisions you can make to support your baby’s physical and emotional development. We seek to empower all parents with young children to continue living the hands free lifestyle they love, without sacrificing on style or comfort. Babywearing has so many benefits, giving you the freedom to move and connect with your baby is just the start!
