Sustainability in product manufacture is complex, covering a wide range of areas from environmental impact, social justice and an ongoing commitment to research and development. We’re proud of the sustainable practices we’ve implemented across our business to date, but know that these must be ever evolving.

Our main consideration for sustainability is creating a functional, well made product that is designed to last. We value quality, and meticulously create our products so that they not only look good, but they will withstand heavy use throughout your child's early life.

Our baby carriers are manufactured using 98% natural fibres. They are made predominantly from 100% Linen, with the exception of the genuine  leather accent panels, and the synthetic material used internally in the straps to meet requirements for stability and support. All hardware used is metal and is recyclable. Made from the flax plant, linen is one of the most biodegradable fibres available. Every part of the flax plant traditionally gets used in manufacture, meaning nothing is wasted and production is more cost effective.

For the manufacture of our products and packaging, we've partnered with a factory in China. We work closely with them to ensure we have an intimate understanding of their product development process and close relationships with their team. We know that they support responsible manufacturing processes and provide fair working conditions for all of their staff.

Our baby carrier and accessories boxes, tissue paper, postcards and instruction manuals are made from 100% recycled FSC paper and are fully recyclable. Packaging stickers use 100% recyclable ABS water based glue. Our ecommerce packaging makes use of 100% compostable mailing satchels, with no unnecessary use of plastic packaging or padding. We encourage all customers to re-use, re-cycle and compost all packaging items.
