AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

In Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

In addition to other rights available to you under the Australian Consumer Law, Mamatoto offers customers a 12 month warranty against defects on all of our products. This warranty covers manufacturing defects on our baby carriers. A manufacturing defect exists if the product deviates from its intended design. Defective materials (buckles, straps, fabrics etc) or workmanship (stitching, seams, construction etc) are covered under this warranty. Cosmetic issues and normal wear and tear are not covered under the warranty. These can include, but are not limited to; linen nubs or scratching that may occur on the buckles with use overtime, normal wear and tear, fabric fading, and minor size differences. Warranty coverage does not extend to damage caused by misuse, a baby chewing on the carrier, or any carrier that has been modified from its original construction in any way. Snags or rips in the fabric from outside forces are not covered under warranty.

Please note, this warranty only applies to the original purchaser of the product. The product must be purchased through our website or an authorised retailer, and proof of purchase is required.



WARRANTY CLAIMS

If you would like to report a fault with a Mamatoto product and make a warranty claim, please email us at hello@mamatoto.com.au with the following information;

  • Product in question
  • Proof of purchase
  • Your postal address and email address
  • Batch number (this can be found inside the body of the carrier next to the care label)
  • Specifics of the damage and how it occurred
  • Photos of the fault or damage in question

After we have assessed the issue, we will be in touch with you regarding the return, replacement or repair of the item, and what the next steps will be.
